Clinic Days
The clinic takes place on Zoom, over two days. The main clinic session takes place on Monday from 9.00am-1.30pm – during this time students will observe an experienced Jing Fang practitioner taking the case of ‘live’ patients, diagnosing and then prescribing herbs. Usually there will be sufficient time to discuss how and why a particular diagnosis, treatment strategy, and herbal forumla was decided upon. A second session takes place on Tuesday from 9.00am-11.30am. This is session provides a forum for deeper discussion of the cases, as well as an opportunity to clarify and questions on theory. Students can also bring cases from their own clinic for group discussion and clarification from the supervisor.
Tutorial Sessions
Tutorial sessions take place throughout the academic year. There are both group and individual/1-to-1 sessions, which allow time to discuss all aspects of Jing Fang and Classical Chinese Herbalism, covering areas such as theory, formulas, herbs, diagnosis and treatment strategies.
Group tutorial are arranged at the start of the academic year and students are informed via email.
Individual tutorial sessions are arranged by the students via communications with their supervisor to find a time suitable for both parties.
